With the pre-purchase availability comes the release of the Steam demo. The demo allows PC players to battle through the first three fortresses of the game honing their trap-laying and orc-slaying skills before the game is available on October 12th.

Players who pre-order Orcs Must Die! on Steam will unlock an exclusive code for a ?Knight of the Order? downloadable costume for the game?s hero, the War Mage. Once unlocked, players can play through the entire campaign of Orcs Must Die! wearing the custom armor and wielding the mighty Hammer of War in place of the War Mage?s trusty Bladestaff.
?Orc Slayer? Community Challenge Costume
Robot Entertainment has also issued a challenge to the PC gaming community ? kill 250 million orcs. No problem, you say? Prove it! When the PC community of Orcs Must Die! players has laid to rest a quarter of a billion enemy invaders, a free ?Orc Slayer? costume will unlock for the entire PC community. The ?Orc Slayer? features a darker, more menacing version of the War Mage?s standard costume, and he carries a deadly, dual-bladed version of the Bladestaff.
